About DALI
The DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) standard is an international protocol for lighting controls. It allows communication between lighting fixtures, sensors, switches, and other control devices.
The DALI standard is governed and maintained by the DALI Alliance, which is composed of leading lighting manufacturers and suppliers. The Alliance develops the standard and testing procedures to ensure DALI devices are interoperable – meaning devices from different brands can work together seamlessly.
What about DALI-2?
DALI-2 is the latest version of the DALI standard, which has evolved significantly since its initial release. The DALI-2 term distinguishes this updated version from the original DALI standard.
