Maroochydore Private Hospital DALI-2 Lighting Control & Emergency Lighting System

Smartscape Connected Lighting Systems delivered the lighting control and emergency lighting solution for the Maroochydore Private Hospital project, combining a Zencontrol DALI-2 control system with EMEGY DALI emergency lighting products.

The system was designed to provide practical, reliable control across the facility, with simple user interfaces for both staff and patient areas. This allows day-to-day lighting operation to remain straightforward, while still giving the building the benefits of a fully integrated DALI-2 lighting control platform.

In back-of-house areas, DALI-2 occupancy sensors were used to help ensure lights are only on when needed. This reduces unnecessary energy use while maintaining safe and functional lighting for staff as they move through service areas, corridors and support spaces.

Emergency lighting was also integrated into the DALI-2 system using EMEGY exit signs and emergency spotlights. This helped simplify installation and commissioning, while also making ongoing emergency lighting testing and maintenance much easier. Routine testing and monitoring can be managed through the control system, helping support the ongoing requirements of AS/NZS 2293 without adding unnecessary manual processes for the facility team.

The result is a complete lighting control and emergency lighting solution that is easy to use, energy conscious and designed for long-term maintainability in a busy healthcare environment.
